| Who We Are
We are a pediatric practice located at 38B Grove Street in Ridgefield Connecticut. We provide medical care to infants, children and adolescents. In addition to caring for the sick child, we want to make sure that our patients receive preventative care on a routine basis. It is important for us to work together by giving our parents and patients the necessary education and support to enhance a childs physical and emotional well being. We also provide evaluations regarding behavior, school performance and other medical conditions.
Ridgefield Pediatric Associates is located at 38B Grove Street in Ridgefield, Connecticut. We currently have six providers on staff. Dr. Susan Leib, Dr. Anil Britto, Dr. Natasha Tzagoloff, Dr. Christine Verna, Dr. Jessica Jacobs, and Dr. Abby Siegel are board-certified pediatricians. In addition to our pediatricians, we have a pediatric nurse practitioner, Carol Boland, NP, A.P.R.N.
Pediatric Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with a masters degree and advanced education and clinical training in pediatrics. Nurse Practitioners are licensed by the State and provide direct care for sick children. In addition, our nurse practitioners see children for preventative exams. They work in collaboration with the physicians to provide optimal patient care and are permitted to order diagnostic testing and prescribe medications.
We are very proud of our team of providers, nurses and clerical staff who work diligently to make your experience and your childs experience as pleasant and efficient as possible.

Appointments
Appointments for sick visits, well child-check-ups, sports or camp physicals may be made by calling 203-438-9557.
New Computerized Reminder Calls
Our computer system has the ability to remind you of upcoming physical appointments! These calls are generated from our appointment schedule and will remind you of the date, time, and physician your child will be seeing. Please listen to the entire announcement, as it will give you the opportunity to confirm or cancel your appointment!
Telephone Calls
Mornings are very busy times for pediatric offices. We like to keep our phone lines open during the early morning hours to take sick calls. Please call the office late morning or early afternoon for prescriptions, lab results, referrals and general physical appointments.
Cell Phones
With everyone’s busy life, we understand the need for cell phones. However, we ask our parents/patients to try to avoid using the cell phones when our staff is trying to assist you and your child. Thank you in advance.
Teenagers
Frequently, our teenagers arrive in the office without a parent. Unfortunately, they also arrive without insurance cards and/or copays. The insurance companies require payment at the time of visit. We need to have parents plan ahead in these instances.
Emergencies
Our doctors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on an on-call basis. If after hours, our service will contact the provider on call. You should hear from a provider within 20 minutes. If not, please call back as sometimes cell service may prevent the provider from receiving your call. If this is an emergency and you do not feel your child can wait, please call 911 or take your child to the emergency room immediately.
Camp and School Forms
We have a $5.00 charge for camp forms due to the time it takes to complete these forms. Please check with your child’s camp to see if they will accept the blue school form. If they do, we will copy it free of charge. We need approximately two weeks to complete the camp forms. If you need a 48 hour rush form, the charge is $20.00.
Child Adolescent Appointments
Connecticut Law requires parents to review and sign the Vaccine Information Sheet (VIS) for every vaccine that is given. It is important that parents have the opportunity to ask questions about these vaccines during the child’s visit. For this reason, we will no longer give vaccines to teenagers without the parent being present. We do have some late afternoon hours to accommodate working parents.
Prescription Refills
We have an electronic prescription system that allows us to send your prescriptions directly to the pharmacy of your choice. The only prescriptions that need to be hand delivered to the pharmacy are controlled substances.
Lab Services
Our in-house lab is capable of doing several lab tests. Some insurance will not pay for these services and depending on the situation, we may need to send our patients to an outside lab.
We have installed an automated lab system called “Lab Calls.” This allows us to enter the results of lab tests directly into the computer. Parents can retrieve the results either by phone or on the computer at a time convenient to them. It is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Covered Services
It is important for parents/patients to understand that Ridgefield Pediatrics recommends when children should be seen for sick visits, well visits and rechecks. There are times when your insurance company may not pay for these visits. Please realize that our responsibility is to provide the best medical care for your child and the frequency of care is not based on insurance stipulations.
Insurance
Insurance companies require us to verify your insurance information prior to your visit. For this reason it is imperative that you bring your insurance card with you along with your copay. We currently participate with the following insurance companies:

These hours offer our parents the opportunity to have their children seen without needing to go to an emergency room or out-patient department for routine sick appointments.
There is an additional charge of $30.00 for this service.
Unfortunately some insurance companies are not paying us for this after-hour code. We are in discussions with them, however have made no progress. We encourage you to contact your carrier and support us in providing this valued service. Until the insurance companies agree, we will need to bill the patient the additional $30 as an uncovered service. |
